New Music Publishing

Newmusic Publishing GmbH

Newmusic Publishing GmbH - NMP was started by Manlio Celotti and Patrick Lee-Thorp in 1992 as a music publishing firm to take on the publishing interests of EWM GmbH in the city of Hamburg, Germany.

The firm took over Ethnic World Musik Verlag, the previous publishing rights holders of EWM.

NMP were members of GEMA.

In 1996 NMP floated the media distribution business - New Music Distribution. The firm traded for 10 years in Hamburg under the direction of Patrick Lee-Thorp, and in 2006 NMP sold their interest in the distribution business to Michael Wendt and Joachim Krohn whose company took over the management and changed the name to NMD New Music Distribution GmbH.

The shareholders of NMP decided to dissolve the company and sold off the publishing assets to Songwrights Publishers.
